Qur'an 67:23 Al-Mulk
Say, "It is He who has produced you and made for you hearing and vision and hearts; little are you grateful."

What it says
Ansha'a is to raise and grow, the verb used of bringing up a plant and of bringing up a child, so the making is a process and not one stroke. Three faculties are then listed, and they are the three the surah has been working on: the ear that would not listen, the eye sent to look twice, and the heart that keeps what is never said aloud. The count at the end is of thanks, not of faculties.
