Qur'an 2:129 Al-Baqarah

Our Lord, and send among them a messenger from themselves who will recite to them Your verses and teach them the Book and wisdom and purify them. Indeed, You are the Exalted in Might, the Wise."

Saheeh International

What it says

The prayer closes with a request for a messenger from among their own descendants, one who recites Allah's signs to them, teaches them the Book and wisdom, and purifies them. The four things asked for here reappear almost verbatim as a description of the Prophet's own mission.
