Qur'an 59:2 Al-Hashr

It is He who expelled the ones who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture from their homes at the first gathering. You did not think they would leave, and they thought that their fortresses would protect them from Allah; but [the decree of] Allah came upon them from where they had not expected, and He cast terror into their hearts [so] they destroyed their houses by their [own] hands and the hands of the believers. So take warning, O people of vision.

What it says

The verse names the event the surah is built around: the exile of Banu an-Nadir from Medina, called here the first gathering because a second and larger gathering of the People of the Book out of Arabia was still to come. Two expectations collapse in one sentence, the believers did not expect the exile, and the tribe did not expect their own fortresses to fail them. The houses come down by both sides' hands, theirs and the believers', and the verse ends by naming the reader directly, calling on whoever can see to look at what happened.
