Qur'an 59:10 Al-Hashr

And [there is a share for] those who came after them, saying, "Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith and put not in our hearts [any] resentment toward those who have believed. Our Lord, indeed You are Kind and Merciful."

What it says

A third group is added to the emigrants and the Ansar: everyone who comes after them, defined only by a prayer rather than a deed. The prayer asks forgiveness for themselves and for those who believed earlier, and asks that no resentment settle in the heart toward believers generally. The verse gives later generations a place in the same list by words alone.
