Qur'an 87:17 Al-A'la
وَٱلْءَاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌۭ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ
While the Hereafter is better and more enduring.
Saheeh International
What it says
The correction, made on the same terms the preference was made on. Two comparatives: better, and lasting longer. The verse does not tell anybody to stop wanting good things. It says the other option scores higher on both counts a person would actually use.
