Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High,Who created and proportionedAnd who destined and [then] guidedAnd who brings out the pasture

What it says · verse 1
The surah opens with a command, and the object of the command is a name. Not glorify your Lord, but glorify the name of your Lord, which puts the instruction on something a tongue can actually carry out. The name given is a superlative, the Highest, and the Qur'an joins it to Rabb in only one other place.
