Qur'an 70:32-35 Al-Ma'arij
وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ لِأَمَٰنَٰتِهِمْ وَعَهْدِهِمْ رَٰعُونَ وَٱلَّذِينَ هُم بِشَهَٰدَٰتِهِمْ قَآئِمُونَ وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عَلَىٰ صَلَاتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُونَ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ فِى جَنَّٰتٍۢ مُّكْرَمُونَ
And those who are to their trusts and promises attentiveAnd those who are in their testimonies uprightAnd those who [carefully] maintain their prayer:They will be in gardens, honored.
Saheeh International
What it says · verse 32
Rāʿin is the herdsman, the one who watches a flock and answers for what happens to it. Amānah is what is handed to you to hold; ʿahd is what you gave your word to. Trusts stands in the plural against a pledge in the singular, which sets many deposits beside one covenant.
