Qur'an 85:14-16 Al-Buruj
وَهُوَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلْوَدُودُ ذُو ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱلْمَجِيدُ فَعَّالٌۭ لِّمَا يُرِيدُ
And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate,Honorable Owner of the Throne,Effecter of what He intends.
Saheeh International
What it says · verse 14
Two verses after the severe grip, two names of pardon and warmth. Wadud is built on wudd, the ordinary affection that passes between people, and it is not a distant word.
