Qur'an 62:5 Al-Jumu'ah

The example of those who were entrusted with the Torah and then did not take it on is like that of a donkey who carries volumes [of books]. Wretched is the example of the people who deny the signs of Allah. And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.

What it says

Turns to those entrusted with the Torah who then set it down, drawn as a donkey loaded with books, carrying a weight of writing it cannot read. The comparison lands on the failure to carry rather than on any failure to receive; the load sits on its back the whole time. The verse widens at the end from this one people to a general rule, that Allah does not guide a people who deal with themselves this way.
