Qur'an 91:5-6 Ash-Shams
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَمَا بَنَىٰهَا وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا طَحَىٰهَا
And [by] the sky and He who constructed itAnd [by] the earth and He who spread it
Saheeh International
What it says · verse 5
The sky and the building of it are sworn by together. The verb is the ordinary one for putting up a house, so the sky is presented as a structure with a builder and not as an expanse that happens to be there.
