Qur'an 81:8-9 At-Takwir
وَإِذَا ٱلْمَوْءُۥدَةُ سُئِلَتْ بِأَىِّ ذَنۢبٍۢ قُتِلَتْ
And when the girl [who was] buried alive is askedFor what sin she was killed

What it says · verse 8
In the middle of a list about suns and seas, one child. Arabs of that time buried unwanted infant daughters in the sand. The verse does not turn to the fathers. It turns to her, and she is the one given a voice in the proceedings.
