Qur'an 75:2 Al-Qiyamah
وَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلنَّفْسِ ٱللَّوَّامَةِ
And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection].
Saheeh International
What it says
A second oath, and this time the thing sworn by is inside the person. An-nafs al-lawwamah is the self that turns on itself. The pattern of the word makes the blaming a habit rather than an occasion, something the soul does as a matter of course. A Day coming from outside and a conscience already at work within are set side by side.
