Qur'an 71:19-20 Nuh
وَٱللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلْأَرْضَ بِسَاطًۭا لِّتَسْلُكُوا۟ مِنْهَا سُبُلًۭا فِجَاجًۭا
And Allah has made for you the earth an expanseThat you may follow therein roads of passage.' "
Saheeh International
What it says · verse 19
The earth once more, now as a surface. Bisat is a rug unrolled, a thing laid out flat for people to be on, and the image is domestic: the ground is furniture put down for their use. The next verse says what the furniture is for.
