Qur'an 61:2-3 As-Saff

O you who have believed, why do you say what you do not do?Great is hatred in the sight of Allah that you say what you do not do.

What it says · verse 2

A direct question to the believers, no preamble. The complaint is not disbelief but a gap between claim and action, saying a thing without doing it. The next verse will name what Allah thinks of that gap before this one even finishes its point.
