Qur'an 105:1-5 Al-Fil
أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصْحَٰبِ ٱلْفِيلِ أَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ كَيْدَهُمْ فِى تَضْلِيلٍۢ وَأَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا أَبَابِيلَ تَرْمِيهِم بِحِجَارَةٍۢ مِّن سِجِّيلٍۢ فَجَعَلَهُمْ كَعَصْفٍۢ مَّأْكُولٍۭ
Have you not considered, [O Muhammad], how your Lord dealt with the companions of the elephant?Did He not make their plan into misguidance?And He sent against them birds in flocks,Striking them with stones of hard clay,And He made them like eaten straw.

What it says · verse 1
The surah opens with a question about an event the city dated its calendar by. Have you not seen is not about eyesight. It is the Arabic for a thing you know as securely as if you had watched it, and the audience did know it.
