Qur'an 103:1-3 Al-'Asr
وَٱلْعَصْرِ إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ لَفِى خُسْرٍ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلصَّبْرِ
By time,Indeed, mankind is in loss,Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience.
Saheeh International
What it says · verse 1
The surah opens with an oath, and Allah swears by time itself. Whatever else time is, it is the one asset every human being is spending at exactly the same rate and cannot add to.
