Qur'an 1:2 Al-Fatiha
ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
[All] praise is [due] to Allah, Lord of the worlds -
Saheeh International
What it says
Not I praise Allah, which would make the praise a thing I produce, but praise belongs to Allah, which is a statement about where praise already lives whether or not anyone says it. The first thing the Book teaches you to say about your Lord is that He deserves this before you arrived.
